ENT Diagnostics

We examine ears, nose, sinuses, throat and larynx using state-of-the-art diagnostic methods – thorough and patient-centred.

Ear
Examination of the external ear canal and eardrum
Nose & Sinuses
Endoscopy to assess the nasal cavity and nasopharynx; ultrasound imaging of the sinuses
Larynx & Throat
Endoscopy and stroboscopy to assess the throat, laryngeal inlet and vocal cords – including analysis of vocal cord vibration
Flexible Endoscopy
Flexible endoscopy is no longer feasible in outpatient practices due to regulatory sterilisation requirements – regardless of equipment or qualifications. This affects examinations of the nose, throat and larynx. We are happy to refer you to an ENT clinic if needed.
Ultrasound (B-mode & Panorama)
High-resolution ultrasound of the sinuses, neck, salivary glands and soft tissues of the face – including panoramic sonography
Doppler & Duplex Sonography
Vascular assessment of the extracranial cerebral arteries – e.g. in pulsatile tinnitus or suspected vascular causes in the ENT region
Audiology

Hearing Diagnostics

Hearing diagnostics for every stage of life – from newborn hearing screening in the first days of life to hearing aid fitting in later years. All under one roof.

Newborn Hearing Screening (Stage 1)
Statutory health insurance service for all newborns. For home births or early discharge: available up to day 10 of life (U2 check-up). If results are abnormal, we arrange further assessment.
BERA (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response)
Objective measurement of auditory signal transmission from the inner ear to the brainstem – for investigation of unexplained hearing loss and tinnitus
Hearing Aid Fitting
Indication and hearing aid provision – including via the direct supply pathway.
Allergy

Allergology

Diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions in the ENT region – from testing to desensitisation.

Prick Test
Skin test for seasonal (e.g. pollen) and year-round allergens (e.g. pet dander, dust mites) in the ENT region; assessment of pollen-associated food allergies also possible
RAST / Specific IgE
Blood test to detect allergen-specific antibodies
Desensitisation (Immunotherapy)
Long-term treatment to gradually accustom the immune system to the allergen – as injections or as tablets

Sleep Diagnostics

If you have been diagnosed with a malignant tumour in the ENT region, we support you medically from treatment planning through to aftercare. We advise on drug-based treatment, monitor progress and assist with side effects and complications.
